Could you join our Trustees?
Warwickshire charity The Acorn Centre wants to recruit more Trustees to help support the Centre and is inviting anyone from 16 years old to apply.
The Acorn Centre team are keen to hear from all those who think they could help make a difference and influence the development of the Centre by joining its board of trustees.
The charity based in Nuneaton, which celebrated its 21st anniversary this year, offers counselling and support for men and women with pregnancy-related concerns as well as offering counselling for young adults on a range of issues.
The Centre supports men and women who are coping with issues including infertility, baby loss, unexpected pregnancy and postnatal depression.
Trustee of the Acorn Centre Natalie Parsons said: “Being a trustee can be rewarding and enjoyable. It is a great way to be involved in a cause that matters to you. Trustees come from all walks of life and being a trustee can help you to meet new people, change your community for the better, learn new skills or use your existing skills in a new context.”
The charity is registered as a charitable Incorporated Organisation meaning it has limited liability so that its trustees are not personally financially liable in the event of any financial loss.
Trustees can be aged from 16 years old and upwards and the Centre welcomes applications from people of all ages. Applicants must be committed to working to The Acorn Centre’s Christian ethos.
Natalie added: “It would be great to hear from some younger people too so we have a good balance of ages on our board of trustees to reflect the range of people the charity supports.”
