Unexpected pregnancy

Finding out that you are or could be pregnant can sometimes come as a bit of a shock. You may feel confused or frightened. You may not know who you can talk to, or where to go for help. You may be faced with difficult choices that have no easy answer.

Everyone you speak to about your pregnancy may have a different view about what you should do. There can be lots of pressure put on you to act in a particular way. If you can, it is good to take some time to think through what you want.

We offer free pregnancy tests at the Centre and we recommend you telephone ahead to make an appointment. The test will only take a few minutes and it is free.

Friendly and caring support

One of our trained counsellors will be available to listen and offer support if you want to talk confidentially. An unplanned pregnancy may not be your concern; you may have other concerns that are making your pregnancy difficult.

Whatever your situation we will provide a calm and unpressured environment for you to think through your next steps.

Free confidential counselling

You may be faced with decisions that are not easy for you to make. We won’t make that decision for you, but we can listen and help you explore your options and find out all the information you may need.

Whatever your decision we will continue to offer counselling, care and support. We can provide information on the following areas:
